Start - 1
Right from the startpoint, two of the runners pick the routechoice road-path to the point where they plan to leave the path and cross the terrain towards the checkpoint. The other two choose to go straight through the terrain towards the path.
After leaving the path, a very steep ridge is located in front of the control. Sofia H goes very straightforward and climbs high. Tina J chooses a right-route and runs on a ridge leading to the depressoin north of the steep ridge. A clever route choice is here to run as high as possible, since one can assume that the stream from the inland ice once upon a time has washed away most earth from the bottom of a ravine as distinct as this, making it rather stony. Elin D runs in the bottom of the ravine and is a minute behind Tina to the checkpoint. Sofia wins the section 19 seconds ahead of Tina. Anke X gets some problems as she believes the map scale is 1:10 000. Not until halfways to the third post, she realises the map scale is 1:15 000. Else, she chooses the most safe route choice to the first control, this by running up to the large pass south of the steep ridge, and from there to the stones which gives her a safe control taking.
1 - 2
A short section which did not cause any of the competitors any problems. Elin D has the fastest splittime, 3 seconds ahead.
2 - 3
Here Elin D gets an ideal running line the whole distance between the controls, and she wins the section with 24 seconds ahead of Tina J, who runs fast but ends up a little bit too high. Sofia H is 36 seconds behind Elin. Anke X loses 12 seconds due to her map scale error: she stops too early in her search for the control.
3 - 4
This control was common with the Men21Elite, where it caused a lot of mistakes. On the ladies' course, Tina J runs most assurely and wins the section large with 22 seconds, before Sara Timner, Sundsvalls OK. Elin is 54 seconds behind and Anke 57 seconds. Sofia makes mistakes costing her over 4 minutes.
4 - 5
Tina J is really running fast on this part of the course, and wins the section 45 seconds ahead of Sofia H. Anke is 1.19 behind, while Elin D makes a route choice with the least climb, but she makes a mistake in the navigation towards the control and is thus 2:37 behind.
5 - 6 och 6 - 7
After a fast-paced section of the course, two short sections follow with tricky map contact controls. Tina J is fastest also on these, and is now in a most comfortable lead 4.34 ahead of Elin D.
7 - 8
Here the ladies are confronted with a long section with difficult slope orienteering -- but despite different route choices, they solve their problems in most merithing ways. Sofia wins the section 3 seconds ahead of Elin, and Tina is 18 seconds behind! From the map, it looks like Tina is on her way towards a new really fast time, but gets insecure in the orienteering 250 meters before the control, and solves this by gaining some more height to get a better reading and then the control from above. Anke runs further down in the landscape than the others, and chooses to take the control from below by heading towards the large depression south of the checkpoint. Anke is however not running fast enough on this part of the course, and is beaten by 2:20 minutes.
8 - 9 och 9 - 10
After the long section, two short ones follow where map contact is really important. On the 150 meters long distance between 8th and 9th control, the fall in height is 40 metres! Here one really have to navigate straight towards the control, where a mistake is most demanding and costly. To 9th control is Sofia the fastest, and to the 10th Tina. On both section, Elin is second fastest. Although the sections are not very long in distance, the time differences in the competition class are remarkably large. Most competitors seem to have had some kind of problems here.
10 - 11
After 10th control, Tina J is in the lead 4:05 before Elin D and 5:09 before Sofia H. But in this downhill running towards the stone which is the 11th post, revolutionary things happens. Both Tina and Elin are careless in picking the direction, and make grave mistakes in the slope! Sofia, on the other hand, runs cleanly and wins the section 11 seconds ahead of Emelie Holmström, OK Ravinen, and suddenly, Sofia is in the lead 34 seconds ahead of Tina, with Elin descending to 4th place 3:57 behind.
11 - 12
After the most irritating mistake on the stone, Elin immediately gets a revenge as she forces through the terrain and wins the split times full 31 seconds ahead of Tina, and 40 before Sofia. In the total, Tina is picking time on the new leader and is now only 25 seconds behind.
12 - 13
In this rather flat, fast-pacing mountain heath landscape, Tina is dashing home the split victory, 6 seconds ahead of Elin and 15 ahead of Sofia. Now, the distance between Sofia and Tina is down to 10 seconds!
13 - 14
Here Sofia, Elin and Anke picks the same route choice, while Tina takes a completly other way. Elin is the fastest, 10 seconds aehad of Tina, while Sofia loses another 6 seconds, and is now in a lead of mere 4 seconds.
14 - 15
Last checkpoint! Here Elin gets another split time win, 3 seconds ahead of Annika Lundström, Sundbybergs IK. Tina is 13 seconds faster than Sofia and thus wins the race as a whole. The time difference is after the finish set to 12 seconds.
